How to use Fragmingo

Fragmingo makes reaction GIFs from Discord text and short videos. Discord messages stay short; the detailed limits, plan comparison, and FAQ live here.

Install for me Add to a server

Start Here

Install Fragmingo as a User App for message Apps actions, or add it to a server for slash commands and server features.
Make your first text GIF with /fragmingo text:hello.
Use the Apps menu on the video message, not the general Apps button.
For video GIFs, right-click or long-press a video message and choose Apps > Image / Video to GIF.
Source videos can be up to 30 seconds on both Free and Pro.
A successful Preview GIF consumes 1 video-to-GIF use or 1 Pro export. Failed renders consume nothing.

Make a GIF from text

Run /fragmingo text:hello to make your first GIF. It usually takes about 30 seconds.
Use /fragmingo text:amazing for your own words.
Add template:message_bubble to choose a style. Template IDs autocomplete while you type.
With User App, open Apps > Text to GIF on a text message to get a private preview, choose one free style change, then publish after Post.
Use /frag recent for recent renders and usage, or /frag template to browse styles.

Make a GIF from a video

Find a Discord message with an mp4, mov, or webm attachment.
Right-click it on desktop, or long-press it on mobile, then choose Apps > Image / Video to GIF.
User App message actions use the default preset, show a private GIF preview, and publish only after you press Post.
Server Install keeps the existing caption, start point, Style, Fit, and caption-position setup. Captions can be up to 40 characters.
Review the private preview, then press Post or Post reply.

FragClip Output Specs

Source videos can be up to 30 seconds on both Free and Pro. Free supports uploads up to 10 MB; a one-time Pro clip supports uploads up to 30 MB.
Free compact cuts 2 seconds from the selected start point into a 256x144 / 15fps watermarked GIF.
Pro presets make 3-5 second, no-watermark GIFs up to 480x270 / 15fps.
Audio is not included. Videos are automatically downscaled and converted for GIF output.
Free and Pro differ by output preset, watermark, upload size, daily quota, and priority, not by source duration.

Will Discord show a huge wall of text?

No. The bot keeps Discord help short and links here for details.

Does Free have a shorter source-video limit than Pro?

No. Source videos can be up to 30 seconds on both Free and Pro. The difference is output preset, watermark, upload size, daily quota, and priority.

Does a private preview count against my limit?

A successful Preview GIF consumes 1 video-to-GIF use or 1 Pro export. Failed renders consume nothing, and posting the same preview does not consume another use.

Can I use external video URLs?

No. Fragmingo supports Discord mp4, mov, and webm attachments.
